Vera Litynsky

Vera started her career as a graphic designer and set designer for television. Colour and space were key for her work, as she expanded into various print media, for the music, comic book, and children’s education industries.

Vera’s sense of space led her to a rich career in retail and merchandising design, but her need to get back to painting was always present.

After living most of her life in Toronto and exhibiting her art there for over 15 years, it was time to move and explore life outside the city.

Vera’s bold use of paint and colour has defined most of her artwork over the years, and living in the pastoral countryside of Northumberland County has influenced her further. Some of her recent work has been created to support the defenders of the illegal war against Ukraine; art created from heartbreaking moments since the invasion.
