Jennifer Trefiak
Jennifer Trefiak is a Cobourg born, now Colborne (Cramahe) based artist and proud member of Alderville First Nation, who brings a lifelong connection to nature to her paintings.
Jennifer’s oil and acrylic landscape paintings are enriched by her intimate experiences of living on the land, where she immerses herself in the natural world through camping and exploration. Each brushstroke carries the essence of the environments she encounters, translating nature’s whispers into vibrant visuals on canvas.
By connecting directly with sacred spaces across Ontario, she captures the moments of serenity and wisdom that nature imparts, allowing the viewer to engage with the spirit of the land.
Her work not only reflects a deep appreciation for the beauty around her but also serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving these landscapes for future generations.
Jennifer has shown work in the Art Gallery of Northumberland, the Colborne Art Gallery, and the Warkworth AH! Centre.
As a featured artist in the Art Gallery of Northumberland’s Spotlight Series 3, Jennifer garnered attention through the mini-doc that showcased her unique perspective and creative process—now available on YouTube.
Her art has graced the cover of Devour Art & Lit Canada, and she has been featured in podcasts and articles.
Jennifer’s paintings hang in corporate and private collections in Canada, the USA, and the UK.
