Photography has been my journey! When I first picked up a camera, my goal was to document the things that were important to me. As I developed my eye and technical skill levels, I became more challenged. As a response, my photography has become much more interpretive. I now have a tendency to explore an image, massaging it from a simple representational rendition into a more transformative, or artistic, reflection of the subject. The change comes gradually, almost unnoticeably. I find myself living with an image for a much longer period of time before calling it complete. It doesn’t mean I’ve abandon my past; I’ve just found another path to explore.

Diversity is what makes photography such a compelling medium. The vocabulary I’ve learned allows me to express myself in a different way. I’ve become a forever student, looking forward to the next bend in the road.
