Jerry F. Albert
Jerry is essentially a self taught Artist that has taken many workshops and visited many Art Museums to observe numerous artists techniques. He began painting in his 50’s and it has exploded into his life and has become a daily learning and studying affair.
Jerry has always sketched and wood carved and always secretly wanted to paint. For some reason he was afraid to get help and instruction until one day his wife Susan surprised him with tubes of paint and an easel and his life forever changed. He began to paint anything and everything every day.
From an “American Artists Magazine” featuring Matt Smith, he booked a workshop that became one of many, in places like Jackson Hole Wyoming, Ouray Colorado, Scottsdale Arizona, Carmel CA, Laguna CA, Wells Maine with Master Artists like Matt Smith, Ralph Oberg and Donna Zhang and many more. Their Mentoring and encouragement was a wonderfull support system.
The experience opened up the gates to learning, interaction with great artists and a tremendous driving force to paint. Jerry signs up for workshops regularly through Scottsdale Artist School programs as well as other artists giving Workshops. This June he is doing a portrait workshop in Canmore, Alberta.
Oils are his choice of medium and landscape and wildlife are his subjects and Plein Aire is his greatest joy.
