Dawn was born in France but grew up primarily in Kingston, Ontario. As a child, Dawn found great pleasure in drawing and painting. Dawn’s interest in art has become a passionate hobby, with a focus of painting with acrylics. Most recently, Dawn has found a new passion in encaustic painting.
Dawn attended Queen’s University and York University with a focus on language and Deaf studies. Since 2000, Dawn has lived in Cobourg, Ontario. She has worked teaching Deaf children for the past 20 + years.
Dawn has been a member of the Art Council of Northumberland for several years and has exhibited her work at The Journey through the Arts Gallery in Port Hope, Ontario, the Art in Public Spaces initiative in Northumberland County, and at the Rainbow Cinema Gallery in Toronto in 2015. Dawn’s work continues to evolve through her personal experience and experimentation with different mediums.
